Tentaroo.com, Inc. is a privately-held corporation and as such is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Boy Scouts of America.
Tentaroo Camp Management is committed to protecting the personal information of its councils and individuals that visit its websites. Tentaroo Camp Management collects only the minimum information required by local Boys Scouts of America councils to allow individuals to register for events and reserve facilities.
The following policy describes how information is collected and stored, its use, and when the information is made available to third parties. Additionally we'll explain our compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
What information does this site collect?
Tentaroo Camp Management websites collects anonymous data that cannot be traced to an individual without the cooperation of their Internet Service Provider. This data includes information about the user's remote IP address, referral data, and the browser software's user-agent string. This information is accepted passively from the HTTP headers that are sent from the user when requesting any file from the server.
Personally identifiable data is collected only by means of form and personal profile interfaces on the site, into which the user voluntarily enters the information requested. This information is requested only when it is necessary to accomplish the purpose indicated by the interface containing the form requesting it.
No attempt is made to covertly or "quietly" collect personally identifiable information, nor are cookies or any other tracking technology used for the purpose of coordinating information that a user may opt to enter in various interfaces on the site.
Credit card and electronic check information is never stored on permanent storage media such as disk drives, and is only stored in memory for as long as is needed to complete the credit card or electronic check transaction, after which it is deleted.

How does Tentaroo Camp Management maintain the information it collects?
All communication with the system is always encrypted, whether a user is logged into the registration system or just browsing the council’s website using secure socket layer technology (SSL). The secure lock icon will appear on all sections of the Tentaroo registration system and websites to signify a secure connection.
No credit card or banking information is ever saved in the system. Many permission levels are supported by the system so admin users can be limited to the access they actually need. We never share data with anyone. Data is also never shared between systems, and accounts in the system can never access data in other accounts.
The system is not designed to store medical information as it is not HIPAA compliant. The system is not designed to collect medical forms or social security numbers.
Tentaroo Camp Management maintains PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliant infrastructure, data storage, and handling processes. Tentaroo Camp Management does this to protect client data using industry recommended guidelines during data transmission and receipt of data.
How does Tentaroo Camp Management comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)?
The Tentaroo event registration and facility reservation system does not accept information entered by persons under the age of 14 years old and as such the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) does not apply.
With whom does Tentaroo Camp Management share information that is collected online?
Tentaroo Camp Management only permits access to personal information from authorized employees and council administrators, as well as authorized volunteers of the Boy Scout council. No personal information collected is shared with other third parties. Reports and statistics of anonymous information may be shared with the Boy Scout council.
Tentaroo Camp Management does not sell, rent, or lease its customer date or mailing lists to third parties.
Tentaroo Camp Management may share information with ISPs or law enforcement agencies as necessary to investigate incidents of misuse or abuse of its system or infrastructure.
